What started 15 years ago as a way to bring people together at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront has grown into one of Calypso's most meaningful traditions.
Every year, we host our Oyster Roast for a purpose beyond the party. For 15 years, the event has supported a different charitable cause, allowing us to use something we love - bringing people together - as a way to give back to the community that has supported us for so many years.
And while the organizations and causes have changed throughout the years, the mission has remained the same:

For the 5th year in a row, your Oyster Roast ticket helps support the Christmas Shopping Tour, organized by the Virginia Beach Jaycees, providing holiday support to local children and families who need a little extra help this season.
Every ticket helps - and the more we sell, the more families we can reach.
This year, we're celebrating 15 years of the Oyster Roast with everything you've come to love: all-you-can-eat oysters, great food, cold drinks, live music, multiple bars, fun & games, friends and one unforgettable Oceanfront party.

HOW DO I RECEIVE MY TICKET?
AFTER YOU PURCHASE ONLINE, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH A SCANABLE QR CODE THAT WE WILL SCAN AT CHECK IN DAY OF EVENT
WHERE IS THE ROAST LOCATED?
OUR ROAST IS LOCATED IN CALYPSO'S PRIVATE PARKING LOT LOCATED ON 12TH STREET
IS THE OYSTER ROAST RAIN OR SHINE?
Yes! The Oyster Roast is a rain-or-shine event. Guest safety is always our top priority, and we will closely monitor any potential severe weather or changing circumstances. Should conditions require a change to the event, we will communicate updates as soon as possible.
IS THE EVENT 21+?
Yes! The Oyster Roast is a 21+ event, and all guests must be 21 or older to attend.
DO YOU OFFER DESIGNATED DRIVER TICKETS?
Absolutely! Designated Driver tickets will be available for purchase through our website or at the event on the day of the Roast. DD guests can still enjoy the food, music and fun — just without the alcohol.
WILL THERE BE SEATING?
The Oyster Roast is a social, come-and-mingle style event. Guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and find a comfortable spot to enjoy the day.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD OR DRINKS?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted. But don't worry, we've got you covered with plenty of food, all-you-can-eat oysters, multiple bars and everything you need for a great day!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Come dressed for a day of Coastal Fall Oceanfront fun! Casual, comfortable attire is encouraged, and we recommend checking the weather before heading our way.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
Parking is available in the surrounding areas and is also provided by the Surf Break Hotel in their lot.
CAN I BUY TICKETS AT THE DOOR?
Tickets may be available at the door if the event has not sold out, priced at $88 per ticket on the day of the event, but they must still be purchased on the website. HOWEVER, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING IN ADVANCE TO GUARANTEE YOUR SPOT AT THE ROAST! Tickets will not be available for purchase with cash.
WHAT DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE?
Your ticket gets you into the Oyster Roast and includes all-you-can-eat oysters + more great food, live music, a 15th Annual Calypso Oyster Roast Long Sleeve T-Shirt and one heck of a 15th anniversary celebration!
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?
Just come ready to eat, drink, dance, mingle and have a great time! This is our 15th Oyster Roast, and we plan on making it one to remember.
